Lost luggage – this is a first! :-)

In my years of traveling all over, I have never had my checked-in luggage lost before.

There’s always a first for everything! :-))

Carpatair really screwed up this time. A properly tagged bag from Milano Bergamo disappearing into thin air while in transit at Timisoara to Bucharest… hmmm. Not cool.

All that formal clothes shopping for Liviu’s wedding is all for nought now. Guess I have more last minute shopping to do again once I am in Brasov.

Almost everything in there is replaceable. But not my favorite mandarin-style vest. And not that special jacket I had on my own wedding. THOSE aren’t replaceable. :-(

Let’s hope that Carpatair finds my baggage and bring back that two pieces of sentimental personal history for me. I am certainly enjoying the experience of losing my kit while in flight. It’s just that fate has chosen a really bad time to pull this on me.

Why can’t the airlines lose my baggage when I don’t have these pieces of sentimental items with me? Why, o why? Anytime but this!

Milano!

8.30 am. Touched down at malpensa airport, situated just out of the beautiful city of Milan.

At this point, it’s just going to be a mad rush to take a bus into Milano Centrale and change to another bus heading toward Bergamo, Orio Al Serio Airport.

Let’s see if I can get to my Carpatair flight to Timisoara at 11.20 am in time; if all goes well, the next flight a Timisoara will bring me to Bucharest.

If not… hmm, I will seriously have to figure out something.

Frankfurt: crazy run to gate B2

Ok… so I had to exit immigration from Gate A area in order to get to Gate B area.

Which gives me… something like 20 minutes from 6.30 am to make it pass immigration and another security check to the 6.50 am boarding time for my connecting flight?

Start running! This airport is huge.

A mad run through Frankfurt airport in order to make it – barely in time to board my Milan Malpensa flight.

Bad user interface, bad bad user interface, Frankfurt! :-)
